📅 The Office of Agricultural Economics Region 11 (OAE Region 11) participated in an exhibition at the “Southern Isan Agriculture 2026” event, held from 6–15 February 2026 at Ubon Ratchathani University, Ubon Ratchathani Province. The event was organized under the theme “Transforming Southern Isan Agriculture through Innovation and Technology,” aiming to ถ่ายทอด knowledge, technology, and agricultural economic information to farmers, students, and the general public in an accessible manner.
Ms. Rukchanok Tuiwiang, Director of OAE Region 11, assigned staff to present key information through the exhibition, focusing on three major areas:
1. Integrating Thailand’s Agricultural Data into a Seamless Digital Era – Showcasing agricultural database systems, the application of Big Data, and digital platforms to support planning and policy decision-making.
2. Isan Agriculture toward Agricultural Economic Development – Highlighting the production situation of key agricultural commodities in the Northeast, along with analytical insights on trends and market opportunities.
3. Agricultural Production Restructuring Fund (FTA Fund) – Supporting the enhancement of Thai farmers’ competitiveness within the context of free trade.
The event atmosphere was vibrant, attracting a large number of farmers, community enterprise groups, students, and representatives from both public and private sectors. The OAE Region 11 booth received strong interest from visitors seeking information on production statistics, agricultural technologies, and career development guidance. Advisory services were also provided, including recommendations on using data for production planning and accessing funding sources.
This year’s Southern Isan Agriculture event featured a wide range of activities, including exhibitions of crop and livestock production technologies, agricultural machinery demonstrations, a Ubon Black cattle contest, agricultural product processing showcases, sales of ornamental plants and flowers, and community products from local farmer networks. The event reflected strong collaboration in advancing the agricultural sector to keep pace with change.
📍OAE Region 11’s participation marked another important step in promoting “data” as a key driver of sustainable agricultural development, alongside building new knowledge and skills to strengthen the competitiveness of Southern Isan farmers in the digital economy and global trade arena.
