📌OAE Office 11 Joins Wreath-Laying Ceremony for “Chetsadarat Day” 2026, Commemorating the Royal Benevolence of King Rama III

Ms. Rakchanok Thuiwiang, Director of the Office of Agricultural Economics 11, Ubon Ratchathani (OAE 11), accompanied by Ms. Orawan Moonton, General Administration Officer (Senior Professional Level), and Ms. Chutarat Phasook, Economist (Practitioner Level), participated in the royal tribute and wreath-laying ceremony on the occasion of “King Nangklao’s Memorial Day” or “Phra Maha Chetsadarat Chao Day.” The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Narong Thepsena, Governor of Ubon Ratchathani Province.
Historical Significance
On September 1, 1992, the Cabinet passed a resolution designating March 31 of every year as “King Nangklao’s Memorial Day” to honor the monarch’s profound contributions to the nation. Throughout the years, several honorary titles have been bestowed upon His Majesty to recognize his diverse achievements:

  • 1998: His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great bestowed the posthumous title “Phra Maha Chetsadarat Chao,” meaning “The Great Sovereign.”
  • 2008: The Cabinet honored him as the “Father of Thai Trade” and the “Father of Thai Maritime Commerce.”
  • 2015: He was further honored as the “Father of Thai Traditional Medicine.”
    The ceremony was held at the Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Auditorium, Chaeramae Sub-district, Mueang District, Ubon Ratchathani Province.
